Dyer, Hughes, Roche & Wilson Announces Merger With Humpal, Jones & Company
January 28, 2009. Medina, Ohio. The accounting firm of Dyer, Hughes, Roche & Wilson announced today that it has merged with the firm of Humpal, Jones & Company. The combined firm will operate under the name of Dyer, Hughes, Roche & Wilson. Bert E. Humpal, President of Humpal, Jones & Company, will remain with the firm, which will continue to operate from its 60 Public Square location in Medina.
Keith B. Hughes will serve as managing partner of the combined firm's Medina office. “The acquisition is effective as of January 1, 2009, “ said Hughes, “but our discussions with Bert have taken place over the course of five or six months. We realized that Bert and his staff add to our firm's depth and breadth of services. Given Bert's commitment to remain with the firm for at least three years, we are confident that clients of both firms will continue to receive the excellent
and expert attention to which they have become accustomed.”
In a personal letter to clients, Humpal described the acquisition as a formalization of his firm's long-term succession plan. “The combination of firms will provide considerable strength and experience to the Medina office,” said Humpal. “We expect the added professional experience to be of substantial value to our clients.”
Both Hughes and Humpal expressed enthusiasm about the future of the firm's Medina practice, and each has spent considerable time communicating with current clients about the acquisition and its importance in meeting their future needs. “This merger represents our firm's continued commitment to a diverse base of experience and capabilities,” adds Hughes, “which will be of tremendous benefit to all of our clients.”
